Oh wow! 6 months since my last post.

I'd actually thought I had deleted this blog... serious!
But whaddya know! It's still around! Somehow, She Speaks has escapaed my impulsive habit of creating and deleting blogs...

Anyway, in the last 6 months, the boy I mentioned in the earlier post, well... he proposed.
I said yes.

I'm now proudly wearing the lovely ring he gave me and trying hard to make sure I don't screw things up!

And he... well he continues loving me - faithfully, selflessly, tenderly - loving undeserving me.

I fell in love with this guy.

I'm in love with his goodness, his strength.

I'm in love with all the things I've discovered about him so far.

I'm in love with him. I'm in love with life!

The most awesome, unbelievable part is... he's in love with me!!

Things to remember when terrible pissed off:

What can you do when someone shouts at you? Here’s a few things you can do:

- Speak in a conversational tone
- Don't raise your voice
- Take deep breaths; expel most of the air in your lungs
- Listen to understand, not to disagree
- State your opinion confidently
- Manage your ego and your temper
- It's only an opinion from the other person
- Don't go to war with words
- Remember the importance of the relationship
- Go hard on the problem, soft on the person

Thanks Ricky (http://www.mindsetmedia.com.sg), for that.

“Love comes first into the heart of a woman,” says one of the male inhabitants of the island.
“Once it’s in the woman, only then can it jump into the man.”
Got that from here. Is she correct you think? Do the folks in Orango have it all right, after all?
Makes one kinda wonder, though... that if all the men we find even interesting just SHUT UP and let us call the shots, would this life markedly less stressful? Would the entire dating/courtship/relationship dance be freed of mind games, second guesses, wrong assumptions, misintepreted signs and be oh so much simpler if the men just sat and waited for the fish?
Then again, some women beg to differ. They argue that 'if we seek to take matters into our own hands and “do something” about a situation such as this, we are depriving a man of an opportunity to fulfill his God-given calling to lead'.
As for me, I plan to live by the moment and do whatever inspires me. :)

Though not a mommy myself, I like reading mommy blogs.
Something about them tugs at my tough ol' heartstrings.
You just gotta love cute Irfan's smile, all about Ashley's growing up, and Jenn Tai's honest, and witty chronicles of child-raising.
But what the hell is up with this nut-case lar!! Her kids are the cutest but her writing is so bloody corny!!! Jeeeeez.. who's she kidding?
My girlfriends will be out of the country for 2 weeks.

ALL 3 OF THEM!!

Now, what am I going to do with myself???

2 of them return before Valentines, though - phew!

There's this one boy I kinda like.

But, I'm afraid that he won't like me back and I'll be disappointed OR that he'll like me back and I'll decide I don't like him enough to be anything more than friends and disappoint him OR that he'll like me back and we'll couple up and I'll forever compare him to my ex-boyfriend and forever remain disappointed OR that he'll like me and we'll couple up and a few months later I'll somehow screw it up and we'll both be disappointed
